ANCIENT ORIGINS
A Silent Legacy from the Heart of Africa
The Basenji is one of the oldest breeds in existence, a living link to the dawn of civilization. Originating from the Congo Basin, these 'barkless' dogs were once the prized companions of nomadic tribes and were even gifted to Egyptian Pharaohs. Known for their cat-like cleanliness and intelligent, independent spirit, they carry with them thousands of years of primitive elegance and survival instincts that remain unchanged today.
